About: 25 shows ago, in 1987, a band of Bay Area retailers and comics fans gathered together and created "The Wonderful World of Comics Convention." That event changed into WonderCon the following year and has grown to be one of the largest and most popular comics conventions in the country. Mark Evanier talks to longtime show managers Joe Field, Mike Friedrich, and Bryan Uhlenbrock, plus Comic-Con International's David Glanzer, about the long, great history of the West Coast's second largest comics convention.
